In Islam religion, indecency, drinking alcohol, taking drugs, smoking, fornication, adultery, promiscuity, homosexuality, dance and music and going to disco and pub is unislamic.

Celebrating in such indecent manner is unislamic. There are many cases of rape and molestation also during New Year’s party reported every year.

Also, January is not the first month of the Islamic year. Muharram is the first month of the Islamic calendar.

Due these reason celebrating on 31 December night is unislamic and for many it is celebrated as first night (pun intended).
